Revenge on the eyes of Vodafone Fijiana 15’s

The Vodafone Fijiana 15’s is looking forward to taking sweet revenge against the Wallaroos when they go head to head in Sydney on Saturday.

Both sides met for the first time last year, where the Wallaroos managed to get the upper hand beating Fijiana 39-19 in Brisbane.

Head Coach Inoke Male, who was the assistant coach of the side last year, knows the caliber of the Wallaroos and the competition they might provide on Saturday.

Male will again depend on the 13 experienced players who faced the 2021 World Cup quarterfinalists in their inaugural test match last year.

Male said, “This is our second time playing the Wallaroos, we met them last year where we lost, the players know what to expect from a side like the Wallaroos.”

“The players have been training for the past week, most who have just finished the Super W season have just had a week break and now everyone is focused on the task ahead.”

Skipper Sereima Leweniqila is excited to be back in the national colors.

Leweniqila said “We would like to come out with a win this time, the Wallaroos will try and win on home soil, but we are confident of bringing a good competition.”

She added that it was good to see new players in the squad who are being guided well by the experienced group.

“It’s nice to see fresh faces, especially girls from the Super W that will be representing the Fijiana 15s for the first time. We will be focused and play our Fijiana game,” she said.

The Fijiana 15s play Wallaroos at 7pm (FJT) on Saturday.
