Gadolo now has the difficult task of selecting the best and fittest players for the trials from the two fitness tests.

“The turnout is impressive and I am pleased that more players have turned up today even the boys from Labasa.   This shows that they have the passion and determination to represent the country in Portugal.

“We have set standards and processes in selecting the Vodafone Fiji U20 team and I am happy that the boys are rising to the challenge”.

“As for the results, they have improved compared to the last fitness test we had before the tour to Canberra, this once again shows that the boys have been training daily”.

Trials for the team to Portugal will be held on April 9 in Suva and from there the Vodafone Fiji U20 team will be selected.

“The selection for the trials will be chosen from these fitness tests results.  It will be a difficult task due to the numbers that have turned up, but the coaching staff will meet to make the selection.”
