Radradra ready to lead the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Samoa

Semi Radradra is focused on leading the FIJI Water Flying Fijians in their second July Test Series encounter against Manu Samoa on Saturday.

Radradra who displayed an outstanding performance coming off the bench in the second half against Tonga has been given the charge to the pack this weekend.

Fiji Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Simon Raiwalui has rested skipper Waisea Nayacalevu and has handed the role to Radradra who had led the national team previously.

Radradra said he is ready for the challenge.

“It’s an honor and privilege for the coaching staff to have that trust in me to lead the team and I’m really looking forward to playing with the young and experienced players” said Radradra.

He said the five debutantes are not new to rugby and they have been stamping their mark for their club and during training.

He said “We have a big group so everyone has the chance so it’s now time for them to prove. They are not new to rugby but they just maybe new in playing for Flying Fijians and I think they will do the job.”

The 13-cap veteran said to expect a mouth-watering battle and FIJI Water Flying Fijians faces Samoa.

“Playing the Pacific Islanders team is always tough but we have really prepared well and we are ready to meet Samoa on Saturday,” he said.

Radradra further added that he is looking forward to playing alongside Isoefo Masi in the midfield. Masi will make his debut for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians.

“I have played with Iosefo Masi a few times, especially in the 7s and starting with him this week is not new for me. We have been playing together for a long time and it’s a dream come true for me as well with one of my “KAI” said Radradra.
