Lautoka Women Ready to Face Undefeated Suva in ANZ Marama Quarterfinals

The highly anticipated quarterfinals of the ANZ Marama Championship will kick-off this weekend.

Lautoka Women’s team take on the formidable Suva Women’s side.

Despite the challenges faced in recent weeks, Lautoka Women’s Manager Liti Koroibola remains optimistic about her team’s chances.

Koroibola said there has been significant improvement leading up to this match.

“The girls have not been consistent with their training from the past two weeks compared to this week. But some of them have been doing their own gym daily and joined the training session every afternoon,” she said.

“Some of the girls are up with their gym session, they learned every week from their weaknesses after every game, and we always encourage them to do better and treat their next game as their final,” she added.

Facing Suva, the holders of the ANZ Bosco Trophy and undefeated for the past four rounds, is no small task for the Maroons.

“Yes, we do respect the Suva Women’s since they are the Bosco Trophy holders and undefeated for the past 4 rounds. We will come do our job and come back positive this coming Saturday,” Koroibola said.

Suva will host Lautoka on Saturday at Albert Park in Suva.

This match will kick-off at 1pm.

Rugby fans are encouraged to turn out in force to support their teams in what promises to be an exciting and hard-fought encounter.
