The delivery of the Oceania Rugby Superweek is a direct outcome from the recently developed Oceania Rugby Strategy. It will ensure that key issues relating to the game in the Oceania Region are identified and discussed by key administrators, coaches and board
members from the 16 Member Unions throughout the region.

The aim is to then create a suite of action initiatives that will assist in the continued roll out of targeted development programmes to drive the future growth of Rugby in the region.

“One of the priorities of the Oceania Rugby Strategy is for greater collaboration by all our Member Unions in growing the game of rugby and the Oceania Rugby Superweek is an important milestone in that process” said William Glenwright, World Rugby Regional General
Manager, Asia & Oceania.

“Oceania is an important region and one with a membership and management that includes world leaders in all aspects of the game, be it Fifteens, Sevens, high performance structures and mass participation initiatives. The superweek concept has been designed to ensure all
Member Unions can harness the expertise that exists in this region so that the region can continue to exploit its competitive advantage on the international stage and to ensure every person in Oceania has access to a positive rugby experience” he added.

In addition to the Annual General Meeting and the AGM workshop, the inaugural Oceania
Rugby Superweek will comprise:
3rd Annual Development Conference – where Member Unions will discuss and further develop strategies around growing rugby
