Leweniqila, Lomani and Tisolo join Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua camp

Former Fijiana 15s captain Sereima Leweniqila has been called up by Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua Head Coach Inoke Male to join the side for an all-important semi-final clash against the Waratahs on Sunday.

Alongside Leweniqila, Male has also roped in winger Kolora Lomani and Suva fly-half Luisa Tisolo in his traveling squad which left for Syndey today.

Leweniqila is one of the experienced and most capped Fijiana players alongside Joma Rubuti in the squad. She is expected to guide the forward pack. Lomani who has been playing in a rugby league club in Australia will add speed on the wings while Luisa Tisolo will be vital at fly-half.

Coach Male said, “We are happy to have the four girls join the camp, and they will bring in some experience as they are not new to the wider team.”

He said the players have had a good week to recover and re-adjust and are ready for a powerful performance against old rivals.

Male added that the girls know what it is like to play against the Tahs and will go for a better result on Sunday.

Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua and Waratahs will battle in the first Super W semi-final at 3.05 pm FJT at Concord Oval in Sydney on Sunday.
