Round 5 Update: Rain Spell Postpones Games

Fiji Rugby Union regrets to announce the postponement of Round 5 of the Fiji Rugby Provincial Competition scheduled for this weekend. This is due to the persistent heavy rain affecting the entirety of Fiji.

The safety and well-being of our players, officials, and spectators remain our utmost priority. After careful consideration and assessment of the current weather situation, it has been determined that the conditions are not conducive for the smooth conduct of the matches.

The Fiji Rugby Union urges all Provincial Unions to prioritize safety during this time. We advise all individuals associated with the competition to exercise caution when moving, and to keep a close watch on their respective families. Furthermore, we encourage everyone to stay updated with the latest advice and warnings issued by the Government regarding the prevailing weather conditions.

Fiji Rugby Union is in close communication with relevant authorities to monitor the situation closely. Once the weather conditions improve and it is deemed safe to proceed, a revised schedule for Round 5 will be announced promptly.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders during this challenging period. The Fiji Rugby Union remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our rugby community.
