FIJI Water Flying Fijians Return Home

Fiji Rugby Football Union Trust Board [FRFUTB] is pleased to announce that our FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be returning home after successfully making it to the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup (RWC) in France.

The team return home to their families after being in camp for 15 weeks since joining camp in Taveuni early in July.

FRFUTB interim chairman Peter Mazey says the whole nation has been anticipating the return of our RWC team after their match against England on Monday.

“It has been a long journey for the team through RWC preparation and through their campaign during the tournament, so they will surely be needing that deserved rest and family time,” said Mazey.

“They have inspired future Flying Fijians with their commitment and sacrifices and we are proud of their achievements during the build-up to the tournament and how they have showcased to the world that Fijian rugby has developed into a force to reckon with in the years to come,’ he added.

FRU also thanks its partners and team sponsors as well as the support of the Flying Fijians local fans who woke up early in the morning to cheer their national team and those who went in support to the game venues where Fiji played in France.

The team departed Paris last night and will transit through Hong Kong and Sydney before they land back on our shores.

The details of the team arrival are as follows:

• Arrive into Nadi Airport on Thursday 19th October 17, 2023

• Estimated time of arrival is 6.55 PM
