NPDL Provides Fiji 7s with 40-foot Container to Store Essential Training Gear & Equipment in Sigatoka.

The Fiji Airways 7s team recently received support from Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL)—the leading shipping and logistics company in the South Pacific—as they prepare for upcoming tournaments, including the Pacific Games in November hosted by the Solomon Islands and the 2023-2024 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series that kicks off with a three-day tournament in Dubai on December 1.

The generous support from NPDL is timely as the national rugby team has been based in Sigatoka for high intensity training that will ultimately form a team to take on the task ahead.

National coach, Ben Gollings thanked NPDL for providing a 40-foot container to store essential training gear and equipment at the Fiji Rugby Hight Performance Unit (HPU) based in Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

Commenting on the support, Gollings said, “It’s been great for us as it has provided the much-needed storage we’ve been wanting. It eases the means to house things and move between training sessions, which is great for us as a team, and we really appreciate it.”

NPDL is proud to be part of the Fiji 7s preparations and wishes the team all the very best on their upcoming games.

“Our support for the Fiji 7s goes beyond just the game—it reflects our commitment to the spirit of Fiji rugby and the extraordinary potential of the athletes,” said Eddie Yuen, managing director, NPDL.

“The passion and love that the people in Fiji have for the game are truly unparalleled. By providing extra storage space for their gear, we’re helping them focus on what they do best—playing world-class rugby.”
